By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor
Intuit Inc., has joined with mophie to launch a Complete Credit Card Solution that will help small businesses easily process credit card payments via the Apple (News - Alert) iPhone. The new solution makes use of features such as Intuit's GoPayment credit card processing app and quick-to-activate merchant account.
Designed to allow merchants to start processing credit cards on their iPhones in as few as 15 minutes, Intuit (News - Alert) GoPayment offers a quick and easy application process. To help save time in keeping business financial files up to date, GoPayment is also compatible with QuickBooks Mac.
Small businesses can apply for a GoPayment merchant account online or call customer service from the company to get an Intuit GoPayment Merchant Service account.
“We designed this to meet the needs of small businesses who want a complete credit card solution that works with their iPhone (News - Alert)," said Chris Hylen, general manager of Intuit's Payment Solutions division. "Now we have a best-in-class solution from Intuit and mophie to meet that need. This means that a business owner only needs to buy one package to get set up with everything they need.”
The new solution offers simplified pricing with competitive discount rates and transaction fees to make GoPayment affordable for the smallest businesses. It's also possible to now add inventory items to receipts, which can instantly be e-mailed or sent by text to a customer for their records, according to the company. Now, merchants can save time by securely swiping credit cards instead of entering numbers by hand.
Recently, the company launched a do-it-yourself website building tool that provides small businesses with the essential tools to get up and running quickly. It lets small business owners customize their websites to reflect the uniqueness of their businesses. Now, users can easily customize their choice to reflect their unique businesses with more than 2,000 templates available. It also offers drag-and-drop website elements that make it simple to place pictures and text on the page.
