The deployment has been made possible by the joint efforts of Metaswitch along with its strategic partner Technology Bureau. It is instrumental in driving the modernization of telecommunications in the country, emphasized company sources.

Mariano Moreno is providing alternative voice solutions to subscribers in the region by deploying voice over IP services using the Metaswitch VP2510 Integrated Softswitch.

In a release Federico Raineri, general manager and CEO of Cooperative Mariano Moreno said, "After carefully reviewing a number of vendor solutions, we selected Metaswitch because of their extensive experience deploying innovative services, which is exactly what we need to help position Mariano Moreno as the carrier of choice."

"To be successful against the incumbent, we needed a partner with a track record of exceptional support and reliability to make this project successful. We are very proud to be able to offer our subscribers state-of-the-art voice services with carrier grade quality," Raineri added.

René Méndez, vice president for Metaswitch noted that the optimized solutions from the company enable Cooperative Mariano Moreno to provide several highly profitable voice over IP services, including unified messaging, all within a network architecture that complies with IMS standards.
