Maxatec Europe Adds Gaist Communication as New Partner
By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor
Maxatec Europe, a value added supplier of specialist IT hardware and services to the Auto ID, point of sale and mobile markets, reportedly announced that it has added Gaist Communication as a new partner to strengthen its overall proposition in the mobile computing and airtime market place.
Gaist Communication specializes in business mobile phones. It is an independent supplier of airtime to the UK small and medium enterprise market place and specialists in Subscriber Information Module-based data communication over General Packet Radio Services, 3G and High-Speed Downlink Packet Access networks.
With the new partnership, Maxatec can provide a fully-managed airtime and connectivity service for transmitting data from device to device partnering with Europe's leading mobile data airtime providers - including Vodafone (News - Alert), 02 and Orange, to deliver competitive and reliable connectivity, company officials said.
Gaist’s network-independent service ensures optimum coverage for any application wherever devices are located, according to company officials. The service also provides advice on appropriate networks including strength of signal on a pan-European basis.
The company also specializes in converged technologies such as BlackBerry (News - Alert) and other PDA devices. The company has also forayed into telematic systems market, offering solutions such as vehicle and asset tracking technology and a range of online applications from standard Web sites to full ecommerce systems.
Officials at Maxatec said Gaist’s solution is cutting-edge, but it's far from impersonal. The consultancy and technical support offered by the team ensures service continuity and maximum efficiency.
Maxatec offers a wide range of products ranging from CognitiveTPG point of sale and bar code label printers to Firich Touch screens. Last month, the company announced the addition of two new thermal barcode printers to its Range of Printing Solutions.
These desktop label printers, the TDP-225 and TDP-225W, are manufactured by TSC Auto ID Technology, and are suitable for a wide range of applications including barcode printing for retailers and wristband printing for patient ID and entertainment ticketing, company officials said.
