SureWest, RTC Deploy 180SQUARED's v.Allegro to Support IPTV Service Offerings

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

U.S. based operators SureWest Communications, an integrated communications provider and Reservation Telephone Cooperative , a local provider of voice, data, and video services, have reportedly deployed 180SQUARED’s v.Allegro solutions set to rapidly plan, integrate and launch their Microsoft (News - Alert) Mediaroom implementations.

180SQUARED offers an extensible integration framework to maximize the profitability of IPTV (News - Alert) services for service providers.
SureWest has said that it is using Microsoft Mediaroom to power its new advance digital TV service and were scouting for best-in-class software and services to integrate and manage this complex environment. 180SQUARED had built its solution on its unique expertise and knowledge and that gave company officials confidence to choose the v.Allegro solution set.
The company said that 180SQUARED’s v.Allegro solution set, particularly the integration and management platform would provide them with a robust and extensible platform to easily integrate, manage and make future enhancements to their service.
180SQUARED said that many service providers have already deployed some sort of IPTV offering and many others are looking for means to deploy one and are in the planning stages. But they are all finding it hard on how to ensure a cost-effective and time-efficient implementation while integrating robust, next-generation IPTV Middleware. 180SQUARED’s v.Allegro solution set includes everything a service provider need to rapidly plan and deploy a complete IPTV implementation.
The v.Allegro solution set consists of v.Orchestra products and services, including v.Orchestrator Launch Services, v.Maestro IPTV Middleware Integration & Management Platform, v.Harmonizer Device Provisioning Module, v.Harmonizer Billing Adapter Module, v.Crescendo Caller ID Application and v.Crescendo Remote PVR Scheduler Application.
The v.Orchestra is reportedly the only suite of products, services and solutions sets that are specifically designed to empower both large and small service providers.
RTC has said that v.Allegro is a complete solution set for the multiple challenges they were trying to solve to get their enhanced service up and running quickly. The ease of integration, advanced management capabilities, and expert professional services enabled them to go from initial planning to full launch in a very short timeframe.
180SQUARED has said that its v.Allegro solution set was designed for service providers to easily and rapidly deploy a feature rich service, as quickly as possible and to explore new business opportunities and maximize the potential of their current, or future, IPTV infrastructure investment.
In other news, SureWest (News - Alert) selected MetaSphere application/feature server for advanced IP telephony and deployed Ethernet solution from Adtran.
