Ecessa Partners with MyTELEPATH, NetSapiens to Offer SIP Delivery to SMEsEcessa, a provider of WAN link controllers for WAN and ISP link aggregation, automated load balancing, failover and network security, today announced that telephony provider MyTELEPATH is using the company’s ClariLink, the first WAN controller with specialized SIP-application delivery, to manage multiple broadband links and ensure reliability of VoIP services.
Company officials will offer a live demonstrate of the solution at booth #224 during Technology Marketing Corporation’s ITEXPO West 2009 tradeshow, which is now underway at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Officials from NetSapiens will also host a demonstration at booth #306 at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2009.
MyTELEPATH has integrated Ecessa’s ClariLink in its network infrastructure to offer small and medium sized enterprises, customers reliable and affordable Voice over Internet Protop service over low-cost broadband connections, including T1, DSL, and cable. The firm selected ClariLink for its reliability and ability to work with the NetSapiens (News - Alert) solution, company officials said.
The solution gives users an affordable option for SIP calls that won’t run the risk of being dropped when using low-cost bandwidth connections. MyTELEPATH delivers VoIP services with NetSapiens SNAPswitch, a key component to its IP telephony service infrastructure.
“This hosted telephony service is a perfect fit that meets the needs of SME customers,” Ron Thomas, CEO at Ecessa, said in a statement. “For telephony providers such as MyTELEPATH, ClariLink provides the ability to offer voice network optimization not previously available to SMEs, while creating new revenue generating opportunities. Similarly, working with NetSapiens, we hope to deliver affordable technology to other telephony providers.”
Thomas said company officials also see the partnership as a chance to expand its relationship with NetSapiens.
By adding ClariLink to MyTELEPATH’s VoIP network, SIP traffic can be deployed across multiple network connections for redundant connectivity and automatic real-time failover to existing customers, as well as to customers in rural areas, officials said.
“ClariLink allows MyTELEPATH and our partners to provide robust, cost-effective business-class voice service over multiple broadband providers, while ensuring reliable call delivery, even if a service provider has an outage,” Tom Drill, vice president of business development at MyTELEPATH, said in a statement. “With this new extended service capability we expect to be successful in both rural and dense markets.”
Drill said company officials want to give SME customers a rich and affordable IP telephony service without the high cost associated with it.
Deploying VoIP over broadband connections comes with some challenges. That’s why companies need to ensure that calls are connected with their IP telephony service provider, officials said. While other large enterprises can afford more expensive leased-lines to support VoIP and media-rich applications, SMEs need other, lower cost alternatives like ClariLink.
"Our customers' businesses are built around voice applications," said Jim Murphy, NetSapiens' vice president of business development, in a statement. "We engineer our SNAPsolution to provide carriers, broadband service providers and enterprise customers with mission-critical voice services with the up-time and flexibility they require. ClariLink's ability to provide real-time WAN link failover for SIP-based applications is a powerful compliment to our redundant and highly available platform."
