With the help of IP-based managed service provider, Cbeyond, Inc., a Chicago-based husband-and-wife entrepreneur team, Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels, can now remain focused on growth, rather than on managing its communications services.

Cbeyond (News - Alert) is providing the SMB owners with a communications plan that includes Internet, landline and mobile phone services, and has created a very time-effective system since its contract agreement secured in 2005.

According to co-owner Kim Holstein, “Cbeyond’s voice and data services deliver unparalleled reliability which enables us to manage hundreds of calls a week and gives our small business all of the same communications and IT security advantages large businesses have.”

The company, who was recently named one of Atlanta’s fastest growing business companies by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, offers a portfolio of productivity enhancing solutions designed to benefit customers with customized communications packages that are all managed over a private, high-quality IP network.

Monique Goffinet Tunney, vice president of Marketing for Kim & Scott’s pretzels told TMC (News - Alert) in an interview that Cbeyond allows the company to focus on the heart of the business, while it handles all the communication needs. “We have enjoyed working with Cbeyond,” said Goffinet Tunney, “and how they’ve effectively and efficiently handled our integrated business communication solution that includes Internet, landline and mobile phone services.”

“Cbeyond’s bundled offering of voice and data services also eliminates the need for us to manage multiple vendor relationships for our communications needs,” said co-owner Scott Holstein, evidenced by Kim & Scott’s over 42 million in pretzel sales in various grocery chains, as well as Borders Books & Music, Barnes & Noble, GVC, and at their online store.

Todd Wauhob, vice president and general manager for Cbeyond’s Chicago branch told TMC (News - Alert) that small businesses rely on Cbeyond's communications and IT solutions to run their business.  “It's critical for small businesses to have a provider they can count on to enable them to focus on their core business, whether that's making delicious pretzels or running a professional services firm,” said Wauhob, “All [businesses] have one goal in mind - growth and success – and Cbeyond helps them get there."

Cbeyond is also aiming for rapid expansion and said it will create an additional 600 jobs in Atlanta by 2013.
