IPsmarx Technology Selects Encore's SP-201-Z Signaling Gateway to Deliver Global SS7 Connectivity

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

IPsmarx (News - Alert) Technology has selected Encore Networks’ SP-201-Z signaling gateway to offer C7 to ISDN protocol conversion and other VoIP based solutions to long distance carriers and operators.

IPsmarx Technology provides feature rich VoIP solutions and Encore Networks deals in secure, IP+Legacy Virtual Private Network (VPN) routers for converged and broadband solutions.

According to Encore, the SignalPath 201-Z (SP201-Z) is an advanced signaling protocol converter designed to facilitate interoperability between incompatible communication networks. With the SP201-Z, carriers can inexpensively provide seamless connections between networks with conflicting types of out-of-band signaling. The SP201-Z increases the carriers’ potential network reach in a cost-effective fashion by eliminating the need for expensive network upgrades.

With locations throughout North America, IPsmarx provides Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Providers (ITSPs) in 63 countries with fully integrated turnkey solutions to deploy and run applications like wholesale, residential VoIP, calling card, and termination.

Encore has stated that IPsmarx has distinguished itself from the competition by offering feature rich VoIP for wholesale VoIP carriers and residential service providers. By integrating SP201-Z’ flexible signaling conversion capacities into their portfolio, IPsmarx can enable its customers to customize signaling solutions for their specific needs minimizing the risks of entering new international markets.

The SP-201-Z is said to be an extremely affordable solution for PTT’s, Long Distance carriers and VoIP ISPs who need to expand into international markets and address their customers signaling inter-working requirements.

IPsmarx has stated that many types of out-of-band signaling products exist globally and different countries have different protocols simultaneously in use within its networks. The SP201-Z is capable of breaking down the communication barriers presented by these different protocols and enables the flow of information across any network.

IPsmarx had announced a new series of web seminars designed for entrepreneurs and Encore Networks had added a ruggedized 4-wire E&M Voice Interface Module (VIM) to its BANDIT-3™ security router.
