Infoblox to Deliver Solution for Cincinnati Bank's VoIP, Web, E-MailCincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank announced today that it’s deployed network solutions from Infoblox (News - Alert) for delivery of its core network services.
Infoblox officials say their company’s appliances deliver internal and external domain name resolution and IP
Through its utility-grade core network services, Infoblox solutions provide essential glue between networks and applications, according to the company. Apart from DNS
Fifth Third Bank offers banking and financial service to a vast network of 1,300 full-service banking centers in different states including Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Georgia and North Carolina.
In order to manage the network and run all applications including e-mail, Web and VoIP
According to Fifth Third Bank, Infoblox appliances successfully addressed various concerns arising out of solution’s scalability, patch management, resiliency and monitoring.
“In selecting a new solution, having a secure, hardened platform was our first priority,” said Shawn Griffin, a senior manager at Fifth Third Bank. “Reliable service delivery is equally as important and Infoblox is the clear leader on both fronts. We have had flawless performance since we implemented the Infoblox solution.”
Infoblox solutions are based on two technologies: the embedded Infoblox NIOS software and Infoblox grid technology. Infoblox NIOS software runs on Infoblox appliances delivering nonstop core network services.
“Appliance delivery of these services has become a recommended industry best practice for any size organization, because appliances are inherently more reliable, manageable, scalable, and secure than software on general-purpose servers. For large organizations, distributed Infoblox appliances can be connected into unified grids that provide unparalleled management, control, visibility, and service resiliency,” said the company.
Infoblox Grid says its technology connects a group of applications to a unified, centrally managed, core network services platform. It consists of a distributed database called bloxSDB with real-time data replication across all appliances. This platform enables organizations to distribute, automate and consolidate network services assuring maximum data integrity.
