Mamut ASA Mamut has announced that a Letter of Intent has been signed with Germany's supplier of small business software, Lexware, a fully-owned subsidiary of Haufe Media Group.
Through a joint venture Mamut officials say, Mamut and Lexware will offer a co-branded edition of Mamut One with components from Mamut, Lexware and Haufe Group to the German SME segment. The two companies will also share and co-develop Software + Services platforms and components.
Mamut has introduced Mamut One, a product based on Mamut Business Platform, combining business software apps with Web-based products, to the German market.
Through the joint venture Mamut and Lexware will sell and market "Mamut One - Mamut/Lexware Edition" in Germany. The partnership includes developing, marketing and selling products based on the two companies' products and services to the German SME segment.
Both companies will contribute on equal terms in the joint venture, including the Mamut and Lexware brands, Mamut One, the Mamut Business Platform and the broad network of Lexware's resellers, local expertise, support, marketing and logistic infrastructure, officials from both firms said.
The joint venture with Lexware is the first strategic alliance in Western Europe based on Mamut Business Platform. The first offering from the joint venture will have general availability in 2H08.
There's a product called TestDrive, launched by Runaware, which lets software vendors offer trials of CDs, downloads and hosted interactive online demos. Once a potential user tries the online demo, his profile is sent to the sales force through the CRM system. This gives a vendor a chance to see who is testing their software.
Well, this past February Gothenburg, Sweden-based Runaware announced the addition of Mamut to the Runaware TestDrive service. Mamut made the move to give prospective customers the option to try out its range of products through a new online demonstration facility. Hence Mamut made its Enterprise Suite available for TestDrive demonstrations and all applications within the Suite, including accounting and finance and CRM, are accessible via TestDrive.
Mamut's software is designed to help small businesses run operational areas within one system, reduce paperwork and duplication and improve customer service and processes.
