TelCentris unveils instant translation service for SMS, chat, e-mail and social media

(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Unified communications and telecommunications provider TelCentris Inc introduced today its free consumer service that offers real-time language translation for SMS, chat, social media and e-mail in one interface.


The VoxOx Universal Translator is claimed to be the first service in the industry to provide instantaneous foreign language messaging translation across four major communication channels: text messages, instant messaging, e-mail and selected social media networks.

The service offers a built-in live translation option for users of VoxOx by TelCentris, a free consumer service that unifies a variety of communication channels including voice, video, IM, text, social media, e-mail, fax and file sharing.

VoxOx users can access the automatic translation by opening up the VoxOx Universal Messaging Window, a chat window within VoxOx client, and then selecting their language and their contact's language before sending text and chat messages, e-mails or Twitter @replies (public messages directed to specific users). The Universal Translator instantly translates the messages for both parties, TelCentris says.
