Motorola and Aruba Networks settle patent dispute

Nov 10, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Aruba Networks and Motorola, together with its subsidiaries Symbol Technologies, Wireless Valley Communications and AirDefense have reached an agreement settling all outstanding intellectual property disputes between the companies.


Aruba Networks has said that the disputes involved patents owned by both parties, and the settlement includes a cross-licensing agreement.

Gene Delaney, president of Motorola's enterprise mobility solutions business, said: "We are pleased to have reached an amicable business resolution outside of the courts. Additionally, we are actively exploring technical and business opportunities of mutual interest associated with the all-wireless enterprise." Keerti Melkote, co-founder and chief technical officer of Aruba Networks, said: "We are delighted to put this legal dispute behind us.
