BRIEF: McNerney to phone in for health talk

Aug 24, 2009 (The Record - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, will hold a telephone town hall focusing on health care reform at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

This is the sixth telephone town hall McNerney has held this year and the second focusing on health care reform. His first telephone town hall on health care attracted almost 5,000 participants.

Wednesday evening, residents throughout the 11th District will be contacted by phone and, if they choose to participate, can join an hourlong telephone call during which they will be able to ask questions of, and listen to, McNerney.

Residents can also contact McNerney's Stockton office to sign up in advance for the telephone town hall at (209) 476-8552.
