Tech Data's Stacy Nethercoat Among ‘Top 100 Women In The Channel'

CLEARWATER, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- Stacy Nethercoat, Tech Data's (News - Alert) vice president (NASDAQ: TECD), Software Product Marketing, has been recognized by Everything Channel's CRN Magazine as one of the Top 100 Women in the Channel. According to CRN, the women selected for the list are chosen for their "achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. The Top 100 Women in the Channel represent a changing trend in a traditionally all male industry." "There are so many women executives throughout the channel with resellers, manufacturers, software developers and distributors all of whom make significant contributions to the success of our industry," said Nethercoat. "CRN is acknowledging those contributions, and I'm grateful to be recognized alongside these talented and accomplished women." The Top 100 Women in the Channel list includes women executives from other IT industry leaders, including Cisco (News - Alert), HP, IBM, Microsoft and VMware. It also marks the fourth consecutive year that Tech Data has been represented on the list by one of the company's women executives.

Nethercoat joined Tech Data in 1995 as a senior analyst with Inventory Accounting and has since held several leadership positions in Inventory Accounting, Sales and Marketing Operations, and Sales. She also was a director in Tech Data's Sales and Marketing Operations Division, where she worked closely with the Sales Division and was a key contributor in the evolution of the company's pricing methodologies. During that time, she assumed the role of pricing consultant for the company's European operations, serving on a multi-national executive task force to share best management practices.

Prior to her current role, Nethercoat was vice president, SMB Sales, which is Tech Data's sales division dedicated to supporting resellers fulfilling the IT demands of small and medium businesses (SMBs). Before that, she served as vice president, Inside Sales and Services, where she also led TechSelect, Tech Data's community of SMB resellers.

Prior to joining Tech Data, Nethercoat served in various inventory accounting roles with companies such as American Bankers Insurance Group and Lucky Stores Inc. Nethercoat graduated in 1986 from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

This is the fourth annual CRN Top 100 Women in the Channel list, and it is published in the August issue. Tech Data has been represented on the list by women executives each year. Vice President Government, Technical and Integration Services Barb Miller; Vice President, Peripherals Product Marketing Wendy Linsky; and Vice President, Marketing Service Katie Dumala (News - Alert) were named to the list in 2006, 2007 and 2008, respectively.
