Millicom International Cellular S.A. launches 3G services in Latin America

The Swedish-controlled international telecomms investor Millicom
International Cellular S.A. (Nasdaq: MICC) (OMX Stockhom: MIC) said on
Friday (29 August) that it has launched 3G services in Guatemala,
Honduras and Bolivia.

The launches in Paraguay, El Salvador and Colombia will follow before
the end of the year, completing the roll-out of 3G across all six of
the company's markets in Latin America.

Millicom said that it is providing the full portfolio of 3G services
including high speed mobile broadband, Internet access for mobile
customers via laptop, TV on mobile handsets, music and video downloads
and video calling.



Millicom International Cellular S.A. is a global telecomms group with
mobile telephony operations in Asia, Latin America and Africa. It
currently has mobile operations and licenses in 16 countries.
