Dobson Communications Awards 80 PRIDE Scholarships

OKLAHOMA CITY --(Business Wire)-- May 7, 2004 -- Dobson Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:DCEL) announced it has awarded 100 scholarships as part of its annual PRIDE Scholarship program.

Nearly 400 applicants vied for the $2,500 scholarships that are given to graduating high school seniors and undergraduate college students who are customers of the company. This class of award winners includes students from 16 states and brings the total number of scholarships awarded to nearly 800 since the program's inception in 1996.
