Callis Communications Strengthens Management Team with New Executive Appointments in Customer Support, Business Development, Human Resources and Administration
MOBILE, Ala., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Callis Communications, a leading regional provider of hosted telephony and managed Voice over IP (VoIP) services for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced two new executive appointments in support of its continuing rapid growth.
Jim Womack was named vice president of service delivery and administration, responsible for corporate administration, human resources, and customer support. He brings more than 20 years of management experience to Callis, including Staples, where he helped open the chain's new Alabama division and managed retail locations in Mobile. Previously, at Jitney-Jungle Stores of America, Womack operated retail units with annual sales volume exceeding $15 million. He is a graduate of Mobile College.
Tim Foster was named Mobile market director, responsible for growing Callis' base of business across local businesses, schools and universities, non-profit organizations and other key SMB segments. He brings more than 15 years of extensive industry experience to the company, and successfully supported new customer relationships on some of its largest deployments to-date.
Foster previously served at general manager for several major national restaurant chains and local eateries, including Ruby Tuesdays, Peppers Family Dining, Garfield's Restaurant and TGI Fridays in Mobile, which he helped become one of the company's top performing locations in the nation. He is an electrical engineering graduate of the University of South Alabama.
"Jim and Tim each bring a successful track record with well-known national and Mobile-area companies in key business roles, and we're very excited to add such seasoned local executives to our management team," said Callis President and CEO Dean Parker, Jr. "Their collective experience will be critical in continuing to expand our customer base, while providing those customers with superior service delivery that better helps them achieve the maximum, bottom-line benefits from our VoicePath solution."
The company plans to make additional executive hires in several other key areas, including regional sales, network engineering and finance, added Parker. Callis was recently recognized as an Inc. Magazine 5000, based on its five-year revenue growth from 2003-07.
